Summarize

Did you ever use this tool in Word?  I used to play around with a similar function in Mac OS X when it was known as Rhapsody before it was launched.  There used to be a slider which you could move up or down depending on how much or little you wanted as your summary.  Now I'm not trying to rub your noses in it and I'm not sure how long this function has been available in Word.  Honest! :D Thought that all you working sorts would find it useful.   Found the link to AutoSummarize a Word Document in one of my favourite sites LifeHacker.

View from the balcony

It's been a while since i made a post here. I've now sort of given up on getting you guys to make a post but more than that one two three others that i have started are keeping me busy :P Here's a new pict. We have a chota pukur in front our apartment and i took a couple of photographs on one of our visits. The current plot is to plan a move in a week. If you check out this post you'll see that it is bare and since our container wont arrive for a month we'll have a few weeks of bare. Ramesh and I are really looking forward to moving out of the hotel.

How do you like my Yahoo Avatar?

How do you like my new avatar? Yahoo seems to have started offering this option recently. You can use your avatar with messenger, on your site etc. The best part is that you can change the moods, the clothes, the hairstyle etc and it updates it automatically. There are 3 others with yahoo accounts - i hope to see your avatars soon.

sketch done with a fountain pen. added some brush strokes for the hair. in the original photo your hair merges in the background. then thought that i'd add color so that i could try to get some tones but the ink is obviously not waterproof. upper left side messed up :P added pencil in the end coz i didnt know what else to do! and gave up shortly after. all took about 15 mins. this photograph was taken on our phuket holiday in a bar. the one with just the girls. i know, i know i've made you look fat. par kya karen, i'm learning and it seems to be a slow process.

Weekend in Delhi

Taken during Nicolas recent visit  to  Delhi.  We had a wonderful time - very hectic.  With lots of activity - sight seeing, sketching, eating out etc. Nicolas as usual was full of beans. Great Book Recommendations

All you avid readers are sure to enjoy this one. Feed in the names of a few books and it suggests the names of books that you would like to read. This seems to similar to Amazons recommendations and it is based on the data given by other users of this service. if their suggestions are ones that you have already read add them to your list and look for more. I've just fed in about 10 books and got a nice list of suggestions from the site. Let me know if it helps you find a good book!

i took a test on Internet Addiction and sure enough I am an addict. There are a few other tests that you guys might like to try out. I tried one on ADD too. The depression and Eating disorder ones didnt interest me :P

Jayant had this brilliant idea for all of us to go get a nice foot massage after we'd finished rushing around the malls. It was a truly wonderful experience. It hurt a bit occasionally but left us feeling v.relaxed. Ramesh, as usual, fell off to sleep! If you havent had one as yet - try it!

20Q

20Q's the game we played as kids is hosted on the net. Over the years a million people have played the game and the neural net (database) has grown. Recently, Burgener who set up the game on the web and collected the data put it onto a chip within an orb and is now selling it as a handheld game for about 15USD. I thought it would make a nice gift. Found this listed at Kevin Kelly -- Cool Tools
