sketch done with a fountain pen. added some brush strokes for the hair. in the original photo your hair merges in the background. then thought that i'd add color so that i could try to get some tones but the ink is obviously not waterproof. upper left side messed up :P added pencil in the end coz i didnt know what else to do! and gave up shortly after. all took about 15 mins. this photograph was taken on our phuket holiday in a bar. the one with just the girls. i know, i know i've made you look fat. par kya karen, i'm learning and it seems to be a slow process.

Foot Reflexlology

Originally uploaded by HughPee.
Jayant had this brilliant idea for all of us to go get a nice foot massage after we'd finished rushing around the malls. It was a truly wonderful experience. It hurt a bit occasionally but left us feeling v.relaxed. Ramesh, as usual, fell off to sleep! If you havent had one as yet - try it!

20Q's the game we played as kids is hosted on the net. Over the years a million people have played the game and the neural net (database) has grown. Recently, Burgener who set up the game on the web and collected the data put it onto a chip within an orb and is now selling it as a handheld game for about 15USD. I thought it would make a nice gift. Found this listed at Kevin Kelly -- Cool Tools

Lata - low relief
Originally uploaded by HughPee.
Here's an example of one of the low reliefs I have finished. Other than the first and the fifth (currently working on) all others have cracks or pieces that have broken off :( Feeling bad about that coz i was hoping to fire them and have terracotta pieces as keepsakes.

Rabbi Shergill Live at Siri Fort

Originally uploaded by HughPee.
heh heh heh! Got to see Rabbi live in Delhi at Siri Fort yesterday evening. Had almost given up on getting to hear him as they dropped a Harshdeep Kaur on an unsuspecting audience for over an hour!! She wasnt even mentioned on the invite!! We were mighty cheesed off till he came on and started singing. A real pleasure to hear and with a great band to back him up. He is much shorter and stockier that I had expected. Was wearing jhalla black cotton pyjamas and kurti. His live versions were a bit different from the recorded ones and he had a very chota repertoire so wound up pretty quickly. He did a bit of one of Dylan's no. in his last song after telling us a big story about Bobby Dhillon from Punjab the unsung bard etc. etc. etc. T'was lost of the audience that remained. Most got up and ran away after he finished playing Bullah ki jaana. ... i had a wonderful time. Beginning to like delhi because of all these wonderful opportunities.... click on the header if you want to ready a nice article by a tehelka guy on rabbi
